Medical Centre Die Wilgers

The client, a medical doctor, working in close proximity to the Wilgers Hospital, started off with quite an ambitious brief. She purchased two adjacent properties next to the hospital. The idea was to demolish both residential structures and design a bespoke medical facility to be an extension of her brand.

House Paarman Tree House
South Africa
This small contemporary house is inspired by the trees on the estate, The timber and steel structure is located in a small clearing amongst forest-like gardens, and respond similarly to the verticality of the surrounding trees by becoming a vertically arranged “clearing in the forest”.

The brief called for the design of a house for a young family of three just outside the picturesque little town of Clarens, Free State, South Africa. They required a small house consisting of an open plan living room and kitchen, with one bedroom and an en-suite bathroom.

The Red Edge – NDPG Matlosana Taxi Facility
South Africa
The proposed design aims to create permeability, which in turn assists with the creation of a safe environment, with a contrasting vibrancy between built forms. This contrast is enhanced by positive and negative spatial entities with colour being introduced strategically to enrich the vibrancy of the site.

Muckleneuk Residential Development

The brief for the Muckleneuk development was to design eight residential units, each roughly 350m² in size designed over two stories to take advantage of the panoramic views of the Pretoria CBD. Environmental awareness was pivotal to all design decisions in creating this secure urban living environment.
